KBD’s artful designs are hand made with Love in Los Angeles.
karin, the creative inspiration behind KBD is a passionate multi-dimensional artist, with a natural talent for design. “I have been designing forever” says karin. “As a child I would make paper purses and give them to my Mom, she would gush and tell me how fabulous they were and that she would save them for special occasions.”

Completely self taught, karin began creating at a very early age - decorating, inventing, and
changing things whenever she could. She is also an established painter, poet, and vocal artist. “I have always been a creative person, it is just what I do”, says karin. Basically, we make the things that we love and just hope that other people will fall in love with them too. When we want something new we just make it. Fortunately, we have good taste. It is very important to us to make special timeless items that people can treasure.

I think people should have something to say when getting dressed...something that expresses themselves in an artful way. The images and symbols used in KBDs designs are meant to represent love, hope in ourselves and the future, romance, dreams, strength, fantasy, and protection...
